Here we have with us today, Shobha Jain, the author of Messages From The Soul World
Let’s start with a traditional question – As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
I wanted to be a dancer and an Interior Designer. But, life made me much more. I became an Astrologer, Vaastu Consultant, Reiki Grand Master, Crystal Healer, Dowsing specialist and also a Floral Decorator. In fact, I had contributed for Flower Shows in New Delhi in the early eighties when such shows had just begun. Above all, I now communicate with souls in writing called autowriting.
Did you have any goals for this book when you wrote it — to get published, or just to finish, or bring up some new topic, etc.?
My friends and all those who came to for communication with the souls of their near and dear ones, who have passed away to the other world have been requesting me to write about it and share with the world the experiences about this least known subject. This book is intended to share with the world that the other world called soul world guides us every day and that we all are born with a mission, which we need to fulfill.
How did you begin writing? Did you intend to become an author, or do you have a specific reason or reasons for writing each book?
I began writing only to share with the world that this world is governed by the other world and that we all are to complete our vows. I have done over 3000 communications with over 2000 souls. Each communication is a story by itself. This book is just the beginning.
What authors do you like to read? What book or books have had a strong influence on you?
I like to read spiritual books. God Speaks by Meher Baba is the latest book I read. I like truth in the books.
If you were to describe your book “Messages from the Soul World” to someone who has yet to read it, then how would you do it?
I would say that this book contains so many shades of your own life that when you begin reading it, you would some portion of your life covered in it. The book will not only be a guide but also an inspiration to you to fulfill your vows.
Being successfully published a book on the concept of spirituality, what hurdles did you face in the writing journey?
In fact I did not face any hurdle. When there is divine direction to write, everything falls in place.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
I do Vaastu consultation, counseling and of course, communicate with souls for people who approach me almost every day.
What was one of the most surprising things you learned while writing your book?
To be very honest, I only loved writing Gayatri Mantra which I have written pages after pages in my childhood. When I initially began communication with souls starting with the soul of my son-in-law, I wondered whether it was me only who has written these pages. I used to find it tough to write letters or greeting cards. But when I began to write this book, it just flowed.
What was your family’s reaction to find their daughter engrossed in writing? Any incidents you would like to share with us?
In fact, my family always wanted me write to this book sooner! My daughters would quickly go through the new chapters and say, mummy, ‘we can’t find any flaw to suggest that you write like this. You just write with a flow’.
What message would you like to give to the young generation and aspiring writers?
I would say that young generation should write from their hearts and not with their minds. If you write with your heart, it will touch the hearts of others.
